POND DE-ICERS

Here's how it works: When you plug in your pond deicer or stock tank heater, it constantly uses electricity while monitoring the pond water temperature. The deicer doesn't actually go into use until the air temperature reaches 35°F. That's where the TCO comes into play - The TCO keeps any power from going to the heater until the air temperature drops to 35°F. The TCO can save A LOT of $$$ this winter! Other uses: heated gutter cables, thermal bowls, heated pet beds |

The sturdy, finned aluminum base spreads the heat out to make the heater cooler to the touch while putting the maximum amount of heat into the water. this heater can be safely used in smaller, plastic ponds. The PTD15 can be converted from a floating to a sinking de-icer by simply removing the cover and float assembly and turning the unit upside down to rest on the pond bottom. Sturdy feet support the unit off the pond bottom when operating as a sinking pond de-icer.

Ice will typically form up to the sides of the Thermo-Pond™. It will not harm or "crush" the unit. There is water under it which allows toxic gases to vent through the hole.
This is the hole created by the Thermo-Pond™. The best thing to do is to leave your Thermo-Pond™ in place. Don't move or disturb it during the winter.
