WHICH DOG LOOKS MORE COMFORTABLE?

Show Dogs:  Keeps dog’s coat clean and protected.  In many cases, reduces grooming time.

Rehabilitation:  Helps keep dogs from bothering/irritating wounds, stitches, rashes and medicated areas located on body and legs. Ideal for dogs with allergies. Easier on you and your dog than using the bulky plastic Elizabethan (cone shaped) collars or ill fitting garments.

Automobiles:  Reduces amount of dog hair, dander, dirt, stickers/burrs, and fleas left in your vehicles.

HOW TO MEASURE

  1. Top Line - Measure from the middle of the shoulder blades along the back bone to the dock of the tail.

  2. Girth -- Measure the distance around the girth from just behind the front legs.

  3. Front Legs - Measure the length of the front legs from the elbow to the dew claw.

Compare your dog's measurements with those listed in the size categories below to determine the most appropriate size for your dog. If your dog's measurements fit into more than one category, use the Top Line measurement alone to select the best size. We will be happy to answer any questions regarding size selection - just give us a call or contact us via e-mail. If the K9 TOP COAT you receive does not fit your dog, send it back to us within thirty days and we will gladly exchange it for another size.

Note: The manufacturer currently does not make K9 TOP COATs specifically for short legged breeds such as Basset Hounds and Dachshunds.  However, we have had numerous customers purchase and modify the garments to fit their dogs.

This list of breeds is a general guide to selecting the appropriate sized K9 TOP COAT. We recommend you use this list with the measurements table to get the most appropriate sized garment for your dog. Remember that a snug fit provides the best garment fit. So, if you dog’s measurements are on the borderline of a size, go with the smaller size. If you have any questions about sizing, please e-mail us, or call and we will be happy to assist you.
