 THE EASY WAY TO USE PHOSBAN The PhosBan Reactor 150 is designed with the upflow principle to achieve the most efficient use of PhosBan® or other chemical filter media. By pushing water from the bottom upward through a dispersion plate, it forces an even distribution of water through the media, and prevents channeling. It can be mounted hanging on the back of the aquarium or below the aquarium. Hose barb connections are for 1/2 inch i.d. tubing. Includes 1/2 inch barbed ball valve for flow control, and hose clamps. Recommended flow rate is 80 to 90 gallons per hour. For use with minimum 150 grams (290 ml) of Phosban up to a maximum of 200 grams (385 ml) of PhosBan. The PhosBan must not fill the reactor, so that it can be fluidized, which is the best way to use it to filter the water. MICROBE-LIFT NITE-OUT II Nitrifying Bacteria Contains: Nitrosomonas Nitrospira Specially Formulated for Rapid Ammonia and Nitrite Reduction Decreases Ammonia & Nitrite Toxicity
Treats up to 236 gal (893 L.) MICROBE-LIFT/ Nite-Out II is designed specifically for aquarium waters that contain marine life. Its highly-specialized microbial consortium of nitrifying cultures are specially formulated to eliminate ammonia via a natural biological process termed nitrification. The cultures contained in MICROBE-LIFT/ Nite-Out II will establish, promote or stabilize and maintain nitrification in aquarium waters, eliminating the toxic effect of ammonia. MICROBE-LIFT/ Nite-Out II liquid nitrifying bacteria contains select strains of Nitrosomonas, Nitrospira and Nitrobacter. Nitrosomonas oxidize ammonia to nitrite and Nitrobacter and Nitrospira oxidize nitrite to nitrate. MICROBE-LIFT/ Nite-Out II comprises select microorganisms that are autotrophic – able to use carbon dioxide as the sole source of carbon – and are relatively slow growing, requiring specific conditions for optimum growth with typical cell divisions rates from 8 to 16 hours. Their performance and rate growth is impacted by the environmental parameters required for nitrification. Directions: For optimum nitrification and ammonia removal, first treat your aquarium with MICROBE-LIFT/ Nite-Out II, with select cultures to reduce organic levels that may inhibit the natural nitrifications process. Because nitrification requires adequate levels of alkalinity, check the aquarium water’s pH level. Note: Saltwater slows down bacterial action. For faster results add 25%-50% more product. |

The oxygen content and surface area of the tank will determine the proper number of fish for your tank. Higher oxygen levels support more stocking capacity. This granular ferric oxide hydroxide adsorbs phosphates from saltwater and freshwater. Also adsorbs silicates and dissolved organics. Does not leach adsorbed substances and does not affect water pH. Long lasting and easy way to control phosphate levels permanently.
The highest quality granular activated carbon based on bituminous coal. Provides the best combination of pore size, large particle size high surface area, low ash, and hardness for chemical filtering aquarium water. In addition, test results indicate no leaching of phosphates. The high hardness level of this carbon prevents the dispersion of particles through out the aquarium which can occur with softer grades of carbon. The large particle size facilitates water movement through the carbon and helps prevent the removal of planktonic food organisms via mechanical filtration.
B Ionic Calcium Buffer is a revolutionary new method of dosing calcium in the reef aquarium. B Ionic Calcium Buffer is an easy to use 2 part liquid supplement system that contains no organic compounds. It solves many of the problems associated with other forms of calcium and buffers. The system consists of equal parts of component A and B. When used alone, the recommended dosage is 1 ml per 2 gallons of tank water. When used along with kalkwasser, dosage should be cut to 1 ml per 4 gallons of tank water. Alkalinity should be maintained at 3.0 to 3.75 meq/L and calcium should be 400-450 ppm calcium ion.
